A small space adventure

A floating astronaut with a loosely curled tether. Rounded suit shapes are a friendly way to practice a figure in motion.

A way into the drawing

  1. Find the floating gesture

Sketch a curved center line and a round helmet. Add a small boxy torso below.

  2. Build the suit

Attach bent arms and legs as soft cylinders. Give the gloves and boots a little extra volume.

  3. Add the equipment

Outline the visor and backpack, then let a tether curl into the space around the figure.

A small thing to tryKeep the limbs slightly bent. A perfectly straight pose can make the astronaut feel like they are standing.
