A few things you
might be wondering.

There’s no right way to fill a sketchbook. Here are a few useful things to know.

What should I draw when I have no ideas?

Start with something small that catches your eye. Browse a category you enjoy, choose an easy reference, or let the random idea picker choose for you. You can change the drawing as much as you like.

Are these ideas suitable for beginners?

Yes. Easy references focus on clear shapes and a few details. Medium drawings introduce more texture or proportion. Challenging references give you room to practice perspective, anatomy, and careful shading.

Can I save a drawing for later?

Use the bookmark beside any drawing. Your saved collection stays in this browser on this device. No account is needed, and you can remove a saved idea whenever you like.

How are the drawing references selected?

We review each reference for a clear subject, useful drawing detail, and accurate category, medium, and difficulty labels. Use them for creative practice, and compare with real objects or photographs when studying anatomy or perspective. Our About page explains how to use the library.

Do I need special drawing supplies?

A regular pencil and any paper are enough to begin. Medium labels describe the reference image; you can redraw any idea with the supplies you already have.
