A little inspiration.
More time drawing.
Things to Draw is a free visual reference library for people who want to spend a little more time with a sketchbook. Instead of hunting through long lists of ideas, you can see a subject, choose a level of detail, and begin.
A library made for practice
Each idea comes with a visual reference, a suggested medium, a difficulty level, and a few notes to help you start. Time estimates are approximate. There’s no timer to beat and no particular way your version has to look.
How we choose references
Our drawing references are created for this library. We review them for the intended subject, clear composition, useful drawing detail, and accurate catalog labels before publishing them.
Drawing references may simplify anatomy, perspective, or physical detail. Use them as creative practice references, and compare with observation or photographs when accuracy matters to your study.
Using the references
You’re welcome to save these references for your personal drawing practice, redraw them in your own style, and share the drawings you make. A link back to the reference is appreciated when you share, but it isn’t required for personal practice.
The reference files and website content are provided for this library. Please avoid repackaging the reference image collection as a separate stock library or claiming authorship of the reference files.
Your own little collection
