Dancer fine ink study

One complete adult dancer in a balanced standing pose, one arm raised and the other extended, one leg planted and the other bent, plain fitted clothing. Practice clear contours and a few local shadows in fine ink.

A way into the drawing

1. Establish the main shapes

   Map the torso tilt and supporting leg.

2. Connect the structure

   Attach both arms and the bent free leg.

3. Develop the drawing

   Refine the clear outer contour, add only the most useful interior details and place a few small local shadows. Leave most of the paper open.
