Meteorite marker study

One irregular meteorite fragment in three-quarter view, faceted rocky volume with a few broad shallow pits. Practice form, overlap and selective shading in black and gray marker.

A way into the drawing

1. Establish the main shapes

   Draw the uneven outer mass and main plane changes.

2. Connect the structure

   Place shallow pits on the visible planes.

3. Develop the drawing

   Use selective interior marks and local shadow groups to explain the overlaps. Keep the lighter planes open rather than shading every surface.
