A way into the drawing

  1. Shape the crescent

    Draw two curved arcs that meet at pointed ends. Make the outer arc fuller than the inner one.

  2. Balance the stars

    Place a few stars inside and around the open side, leaving small gaps between them.

  3. Finish the lines

    Go over the main outline with a confident stroke and add a few tiny dots in the empty space.
