Spiral galaxy marker study

One isolated tilted spiral galaxy with a bright oval core and broad curving spiral arms. Practice form, overlap and selective shading in black and gray marker.

A way into the drawing

1. Establish the main shapes

   Place the tilted central oval.

2. Connect the structure

   Sweep broad spiral arms outward from the core, following the same tilted plane.

3. Develop the drawing

   Use selective interior marks and local shadow groups to explain the overlaps. Keep the lighter planes open rather than shading every surface.
