A way into the drawing

  1. Start with the body

Draw a rounded upright shape that is narrower at the top. Add a small circle for the head.

  2. Find the ears and paws

Place two pointed ears and a tiny muzzle. Indicate the front paws with short curved lines.

  3. Curl the tail

Wrap a long tail around the base. Finish with an eye, nose, and a few confident whiskers.

A small thing to tryKeep the whiskers light and quick. Three well-placed lines can say more than lots of detail.
