A balloon above a little basket

Follow the volume of a hot air balloon with long panel curves. A small basket, a few weave marks, and one gray panel add simple depth.

A way into the drawing

1. Round the balloon

   Draw a broad rounded top and taper the sides toward the opening below. Check that the widest point sits above the middle.

2. Curve the panels

   Bring long panel seams down toward the opening. Let the outer seams bend around the balloon rather than running straight.

3. Hang the basket

   Attach two short straps and a small basket with a rim and narrow side face. Add a few weave lines and light gray on one panel and basket side.
