A ladybug with a few bold spots

A way into the drawing

  1. Round the shell

Draw a broad oval and attach a small head at one end. Curve a short line behind the head to divide the pronotum from the shell.

  2. Place the legs and seam

Run a seam down the shell’s center. Add three short bent legs on each side and two antennae at the head.

  3. Space the bold spots

Arrange a few round spots across the wing cases. Keep open space between them and add only a small gray edge accent.

A small thing to tryPlace the largest spots first and leave room around the center seam rather than making a dense pattern.
