A piglet with a little curled tail

Practice a pig with clear forms and selected overlaps. Place the legs under the body and fold one ear forward. Keep the far legs partly hidden behind the near ones. Add the nostrils, simple hoof divisions and curled tail. Use gray sparingly beneath the folded ear.

A way into the drawing

  1. Round the body and snout

Build a broad oval body and a smaller head with an oval snout. Leave room below for four short legs.

  2. Connect the feet and ears

Place the legs under the body and fold one ear forward. Keep the far legs partly hidden behind the near ones.

  3. Curl the tail

Add the nostrils, simple hoof divisions and curled tail. Use gray sparingly beneath the folded ear.

A small thing to tryKeep the snout on the head’s centerline so the face points in the same direction as the body.
