A way into the drawing

  1. Round out the body

Draw a wide oval with a small opening at the left for the fox’s head.

  2. Add the head and ears

Use a soft pointed shape for the face and two small triangles for the ears. Add a tiny nose and a short curved closed eye.

  3. Wrap the tail

Sweep one broad curve around the bottom of the body. Add one curved divider near the tip of the tail.

A small thing to tryLeave out individual hairs. The pointed ears, small nose, and large curved tail are enough to suggest a fox.
