A way into the drawing

  1. Block in a soft oval

Lightly draw one large oval for the curled body and a smaller wedge for the head.

  2. Place the ears and tail

Add two pointed ears, then wrap a long curved tail around the lower edge of the body.

  3. Build up the fur

Follow the curve of the body with short strokes. Leave the cheek and tip of the tail lighter.

A small thing to tryKeep your darkest pencil marks around the nose and closed eyes. Let the rest of the fur stay soft.
