A way into the drawing

  1. Find the direction

Place the nose and the two rear wing corners. Connect them lightly to establish the overall triangular silhouette.

  2. Separate the folds

Draw the central ridge from the nose toward the rear. Connect each wing edge to it so the paper planes stay readable.

  3. Shade one plane

Use a light even pencil tone on the underside. Keep the top wings pale and strengthen only the edges that overlap.

A small thing to tryCheck the corners before darkening any line. Small changes to a corner can clarify the whole folded structure.
