Unicorn marker study

One seated unicorn in three-quarter view, horse-like head, single forehead horn, four legs accounted for by overlap and a flowing tail. Practice clear contours and a few local shadows in black and gray marker.

A way into the drawing

1. Establish the main shapes

   Place the head, chest and seated hindquarters.

2. Connect the structure

   Attach one horn and connect the legs and tail.

3. Develop the drawing

   Refine the clear outer contour, add only the most useful interior details and place a few small local shadows. Leave most of the paper open.
