Dragon graphite study
PencilMedium

One seated unicorn in three-quarter view, horse-like head, single forehead horn, four legs accounted for by overlap and a flowing tail. Practice form, overlap and selective shading in graphite.
Place the head, chest and seated hindquarters.
Attach one horn and connect the legs and tail.
Use selective interior marks and local shadow groups to explain the overlaps. Keep the lighter planes open rather than shading every surface.
A small thing to tryKeep the horn rooted in the forehead rather than the nose.
