1. Establish the construction

   Construct the rim ellipse, lower basket volume and arched handle.

2. Resolve the main structure

   Map the vertical stakes and wrap horizontal bands around the curved sides.

3. Develop the detail

   Alternate the over-under weave and braid the thick rim in perspective.

4. Control the values

   Deepen the interior and contact shadows while reserving highlights on the strips.
