Draw two fan-shaped leaves with wavy edges and radiating veins. A small overlap introduces depth while keeping both leaves mostly white.

A way into the drawing

  1. Spread the fans

Mark the base of each leaf and draw a broad fan around it. Give the outer edge a gentle wave and a shallow notch near the middle.

  2. Cross the stems

Bring slender stems down from the leaf bases. Let one leaf overlap the other and stop the hidden outline at that overlap.

  3. Radiate the veins

Draw a few long veins outward from each leaf base. Add only a small pale accent where the leaves meet, keeping the interiors white.

A small thing to tryDraw the vein direction before extra edge detail. Those spreading lines make the fan shape feel natural.
