A way into the drawing

  1. Stack the main forms

Draw a low base, a broad chamber and a shallow domed top. Keep their ellipses at the same angle.

  2. Join the handle and supports

Add two plain chamber supports and an arched carrying handle with clear side attachments.

  3. Keep the inside simple

Place a small burner and flame inside the chamber. Add local graphite beneath the top rim and at selected base edges, leaving the glass and broad base mostly open.

A small thing to tryCheck that the handle attachments sit at matching heights before finishing the arch.
