A banana with three loose peel flaps

Practice a curved banana with three peel flaps hanging below it. Selected fold lines and small overlap shadows make the open peel readable.

A way into the drawing

  1. Curve the exposed fruit

    Draw a gently curved banana with a rounded tip. Mark the lower point where the peel opens.

  2. Hang the three peel flaps

    Sweep three broad flaps down from the same junction. Let the front flap overlap the stem and turn the side flaps outward.

  3. Clarify the folds

    Use one simple inner edge on each flap and a little gray inside the folds. Leave the fruit’s broad surface unmarked.
