A tape dispenser with a visible roll

Practice a tape dispenser with clear forms and selected overlaps. Set a circular roll into the rear housing and open its center. Keep the roll connected to the base. Draw a short strip from the roll to the lip. Add small gray inside the hole and beneath the strip.

A way into the drawing

1. Shape the sloping base

   Draw a low rounded base with a taller rear housing and a short front lip.

2. Place the tape roll

   Set a circular roll into the rear housing and open its center. Keep the roll connected to the base.

3. Stretch the tape strip

   Draw a short strip from the roll to the lip. Add small gray inside the roll hole and the recessed notch beneath the strip, keeping the outer base open.
