A way into the drawing

  1. Place the flower centers

    Mark three small centers at different heights. Leave enough space for the petals to spread.

  2. Work around the petals

    Draw loosely rounded petals around each center. Let them overlap and vary their widths.

  3. Connect the stems

    Bring the long stems downward, then add a few fine leaves and small dots in the centers.

A small thing to tryVary the tilt of the blooms. A flower that faces slightly away makes the arrangement feel more natural.
